…….you’re in for a big surprise!! Glamping with the little ones for the first time? Did you have any idea it could ever be so easy?!
If you’re building up the courage to try glamping with the family for the first time, it doesn’t need to be a leap of faith. We’ve had young families staying with us for years now at Swinton Bivouac and we can assure you, we know what we’re doing!
~ DO stay in a tree lodge. They are incredibly cosy – fully insulated with a log burner, you will be toasty at night. Children LOVE going to bed by candlelight!
~ DO pack your wellies and coats, get outside and enjoy exploring the Druid’s Temple and the Parkland. There’s a hot chocolate at The Terrace to warm up any chilly hands!
~ DO pack your swimmers – there’s an indoor swimming pool at the Country Club for families to enjoy (and some wonderful treatments if Mum can escape for an hour or two!)
~ DO switch off – literally – there’s no Wifi or power, so you can unwind, relax and focus on the little people in your life who really matter.
~ DON’T eat little bear’s porridge – you can cook your own, there’s a fully equipped kitchen!
~ DON’T listen to all those stories about leaking tents, sodden bedding and cold food – this is a Tree Lodge, with ensuite hot shower and WC, wood burner and proper beds after all!
Come to Swinton Bivouac for a magical introduction to the world of glamping and the big outdoors (with a little luxury on the side!). For bookings of two nights or more in a woodland tree lodge during term time we offer families with little ones the added benefits of:
~ Family access for a swim session in the pool at the Country Club & Spa
~ Family access to the listed heritage deer park, play area and gardens at the Parkland
~ A 20% discount off our advertised rates, so this works out at £100 per night for the whole family.
Please quote WOODS_TODAY on booking and the 20% discount will be applied to your room rate.

Some of our families weren’t able to wait until the summer holidays and came in April to see the lambs and take part in the Easter activities. You can see from their comments below how much they loved it.
