  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Helpline

    All employees are eligible to access the Hospitality Action’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), an assistance line supported by a comprehensive care package of services and benefits that takes a holistic approach to employee welfare.

    Like the industry it serves, the assistance line is open 24/7, 365 days a year and includes a translation service for over 170 languages. The benefits available include access to personal counselling, legal guidance, addiction support, debt advice, parenting helpline, elder care helpline and a whistleblowing service.

  • Bike to Work Scheme

    Swinton Estate is part of the bike to work scheme and permanent employees can use a unique link to apply through Swinton Estate. By enrolling on the scheme through a recognised retailer (using the Swinton Estate unique reference) and following approval through payroll, salary sacrifice then commences over the hire period (usually 12 months). The salary sacrifice is made prior to Income Tax and National Insurance contributions and, as a result, employees pay less of both.

  • Meals on Duty

    Nutritious meals are provided whilst on duty, prepared by our Chefs.

  • Company Pension Scheme

    All permanent staff, aged 22 years and over, are auto-enrolled into the company pension scheme after completion of 3 months employment with the company, in line with statutory regulations. If under 22 years old, you have the right to opt in to the scheme. The pension scheme is with Standard Life. Employees must put in a minimum of 5% and Swinton Estate will put in an additional 3%.

  • Annual Holiday Allowance

    Upon commencement of permanent employment you are entitled to 30 days company holiday (including bank holidays). After 3 years of continuous employment this increases to 32 days and after 5 years it increases to 33 days. These figures are pro-rated for part-time employees.

  • Staff Discounts

    A wide range of generous discounts at our restaurants, spa and hotel, including a friends and family accommodation rate.
    - 50% discount on hotel accommodation
    - 50% discount in The Terrace and Samuel's Restaurant, including Afternoon Tea
    - 50% discount on spa treatments and spa days
    - 25% discount at Swinton Bivouac, in the Cafe and Bivouac accommodation
    - 25% discount in the Estate Shop
    - 50% friends and family discount on hotel accommodation

  • Social Events

    A range of social events are organised throughout the year such as a Christmas Party, Summer Party and Long Service Awards. We have recently enjoyed Fish & Chips and Stinky Vintage Grilled Cheese lunches, as well as ice-creams for all!

  • Refer a Friend

    A staff member can earn up to £500 for referring a friend to work at Swinton Estate in a full-time role.
