Father’s Day on the Swinton Estate

Celebrate Father’s Day

Discover what’s happening on the Swinton Estate during Father’s Day.

Let your child release their inner creativity in the Owl Barn at Swinton Bivouac. A table of crafts will be waiting for your little artist to create a masterpiece and the Bivouac Café will be open serving sweet and savoury treats and refreshments!
The Cookery School runs a busy program of half day and full day hands-on, practical cookery classes throughout the year. From classic baking and Sunday roasts to sushi and Thai, there’s a course to suit everyone.

Join us in the Swinton Country Club this Father’s Day! Treat Dad to a day in the spa – giving time for treatments, a fabulous lunch and time in the indoor and outdoor natural pool, thermal suite, hot tub, and on sheepskin covered day beds. Or a gorgeous choice of relaxing treatments and holistic therapies.

Whether you have tried wild swimming before or not, we highly recommend you give it a go. Swimming ‘wild’ is incredibly beneficial to your wellbeing; both physically and mentally. Benefits can include; reduced muscle soreness, reduction in inflammation, immune system boosting, improved circulation and there is also claims it boosts brain power!
Falconry experiences at the aviary and surrounding parkland at Swinton Estate. Birds of Prey at the Swinton Estate offers educational and fun experiences, available to visitors upon arrangement. We seek to provide as much hands-on interaction with our guests as possible, and to enjoy the personalities and behaviour our large variety of friendly owls, hawks and falcons.
Laser Clays are great fun – either just to have a go and see if you have ‘an eye’, or as an introduction to traditional clay shooting! You’ll be holding a deactivated and high-tech version of a shotgun, firing invisible infrared beams onto clay targets launched at different angles and speeds. The scoreboard will tell us who was bang on, and who was off-beam – designed for a little friendly competition!
The Clay Shooting Ground at E.J. Churchill at the Swinton Estate offers lessons (group and individual), caddied rounds, Claymate (giving the option for experienced shooters to shoot alone) and events.
The Northern Fishing School at Swinton Estate organises guided days or courses on the Estate waters. On a day’s fishing, you will be able to access waters on the Estate that are otherwise closed to the public, such as the River Burn and upper stretch of the Ure.
The 200 acres of heritage listed lakes and gardens, along with the four-acre working kitchen walled garden, are one of Yorkshire's hidden gems. Providing the perfect opportunity for a tranquil stroll with beautiful views to explore.
Swinton Estate has an abundance of walking routes, from riverside strolls to bracing hikes across the moors. There are over 63 miles of public footpaths along with numerous permissive trails.
