The Deer House

The Deer House offers privacy and a unique combination of rustic appeal and contemporary style, ideal for anyone who wants to incorporate blue skies and nature’s beauty into their events. 

Guests will benefit from a private driveway and adjacent car parking before entering the building which is furnished with solid wood bench seating, sheepskin blankets and throws, an impressive fireplace and built-in bar perfect for ensuring your event will go with a swing. The floor to ceiling glass walls lead onto an extensive grassy area and outdoor terrace which is perfect for drinks receptions, relaxed BBQs and lawn games – all whilst soaking up the fantastic views. 

Civil ceremonies can be held outside if booking the space for a wedding and the Swinton Park Chef team can deliver a selection of delicious menus for any event from Premium Grills, to woodfired pizzas, sharing roasts and vegetable platters to hot and cold buffets. The Deer House also makes a fantastic space for family fun days and social gatherings. 

The venue is close enough that guests of the hotel can walk, to and from the Castle, with braziers lighting the way under a starlit sky. 

There are toilet facilities on-site however for events of 50 or more guests we do recommend hiring in additional facilities and are able to assist in securing quality options at reasonable prices from our preferred suppliers.
