Pommery Champagne & Croquet Lawn
Located on the south lawn of the Castle with sweeping views of the Deer Park and Home Lake, the Pommery Champagne & Croquet Lawn is an ideal spot to soak up the sunshine during drinks receptions or al-fresco dining events.
Adjacent to The Library, Drawing Room and Castle Bar, the hotel team can seamlessly deliver drinks receptions for up to 100 guests or outdoor dining for up to 60 guests. Or why not combine the space as part of a larger event and enjoy some of the sumptuous accommodation available in the Castle.
The Lake House
Lake Island on Top Lake, a short walk from Coffin Pond and Quarry Gill in the parkland, is a private retreat. Here you can hold an exclusive celebration or private event. Take a hand-drawn cable ferry across to your own private kingdom, complete with a miniature Georgian-style summerhouse.
The Spa Garden
Nestled between The Terrace Restaurant & Bar, and the Country Club & spa, the Spa Garden is an enclosed lawned space offering privacy for any small outdoor event.
A sailcloth canopy is erected during summer months so imaging an alfresco wedding, party or drinks reception for up to 40 guests.
The Terrace
Part of the Terrace Restaurant & Bar, this beautifully designed tiered garden space is reminiscent of a Balearic Island and offers a stunning setting for parties and celebrations.
A veritable sun-trap with manicured hedges and a central water feature, this area is a perfect setting for an outdoor event with catering available from the Terrace Kitchens and an extensive patio already in place.
Can be combined with private hire of The Terrace Restaurant & Bar, whose glass walls can be opened to create one large airy space.
The Bothy Huts
We have several Bothy Huts available on the Estate however, we recommend Grimesgill as the most accessible, which offers a luxury rural experience with modern conveniences.
Traditionally used to provide respite from inclement weather for those high on the moors, they are now ideal for small groups wanting to enjoy a country experience without the hard work! Ideal as a picnic destination after a decent hike or a location with a difference for a proposal or small get together.
Suitable for groups of up to 12 guests we can provide a sumptuous picnic, delivered by a dedicated host. This is a seasonal experience best enjoyed during summer months.
