The Library

With floor to ceiling Georgian windows, majestic ceilings, understated grandeur and unspoilt views of the deer park and lawns, The Library is a truly beautiful space.

Perfect for weddings, receptions, conferences, large family get-togethers, parties and everything in between.

Samuel’s Restaurant

Built by Samuel Lister in 1880, (where the Samuel’s name comes from) this magnificent room with gold leafed ceiling and cornices, wooden floor, open log fire and incredible views over the deer park, Samuel’s is quite the venue.

An opulent space for large family occasions, or celebratory suppers.

Adam’s Folly

Exquisite private dining, with splendour and elegance. Hosting up to 20 guests, the Adam’s Folly private dining room is the ideal location for your exclusive private event – with a fine-dining menu specially tailored to you by the expert chef’s of Samuel’s Restaurant.

Panelled Room

The Panelled Room is located on the first floor of the Castle with impressive views of the front lawn and entrance Portico.

A versatile room which can be used for a variety of functions and dressed accordingly. A perfect space for civil ceremonies for up to 60 guests, private dinners for a maximum of 24 guests or even as a private lounge space for groups looking for some additional privacy.

The Arnagill

The Arnagill Room is situated next to the Terrace Restaurant & Bar. A gorgeously contemporary space perfect for a private drinks party, birthday lunch, supper or children’s get-together, with menus from the Terrace.

Drawing Room

A beautiful Georgian room, designed by John Carr of York in 1765. Opulence abounds in the Drawing Room with portraiture and fine antique furniture. The Drawing Room is perfect to enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea.

Sitting Room

The Sitting Room is a beautiful, stately space with open log fire, opulent sofa and furnishings. With views over the deer park, it’s perfect for small receptions, private parties or afternoon teas.

The Terrace Restaurant & Bar

At the heart of relaxed eating and drinking on the Swinton Estate. Beautifully furnished alfresco ‘terraced’ gardens, perfect all year-round for dining and drinks with friends, with blankets, heaters and sheepskins galore for chillier days.
