Learn how to cook edible gifts

Learn how to create edible gifts to give to friends and family to really show you care.

Skills will include: pickling, jam making, chutneys, French macarons, biscuit making, Christmas truffles, fudge and potted meats.

Recipes may include: Pickled seasonal vegetables, seasonal fruit jams, French macarons, biscuits, potted pork and chocolate fudge.

Your course may feature

  • A hands-on cookery course taught by the Swinton Cookery School chef tutor
  • Recipes to take home at the end of your course
  • All required ingredients and equipment will be provided

FAQs

Most half-day cookery courses start at 10:00am and finish around 1:30pm. Full-day courses start at at 10:00am and finish around 3:00pm. Please arrive at the Swinton Park Hotel reception for tea and coffee served from 9:30am. 

For children's courses, Mini Chefs takes place between 10:00am and 3:00pm. The Junior chefs course is between 2:00pm and 4:30pm.  

During half-day and full-day courses, lunch will be served consisting of dishes you've prepared during the event. Should you have any special dietary requirements or allergies please let us know so that we can ensure these are accommodated.

All required ingredients and equipment will be provided as part of your course. You don't need to bring anything extra - just yourself. 

Yes! When you finish the course, you'll receive a copy of all the recipes you learned to use at home.
