Create a spectacular Afternoon Tea

From finger sandwiches to mouthwatering sweet treats, this cookery course will teach you how to create a classic British Afternoon Tea.

Each cookery class teaches a variety of recipes. During the class you may make scones, biscuits, choux, shortbread, macarons, and a selection of savoury dishes.

The classes take place in our stunning country kitchen with breathtaking views of the Swinton Estate grounds and the Yorkshire Dales.

We always encourage a hands-on approach within the classes and all ingredients and equipment will be provided.

FAQs

How is the course structured?

Most half-day cookery courses start at 10:00am and finish around 1:30pm. Full-day courses start at at 10:00am and finish around 3:00pm. Please arrive at the Swinton Park Hotel reception for tea and coffee served from 9:30am.

For children's courses, Mini Chefs takes place between 10:00am and 3:00pm. The Junior chefs course is between 2:00pm and 4:30pm.

During half-day and full-day courses, lunch will be served consisting of dishes you've prepared during the event. Should you have any special dietary requirements or allergies please let us know so that we can ensure these are accommodated.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

All required ingredients and equipment will be provided as part of your course. You don't need to bring anything extra - just yourself.

Can I take the recipes home?

Yes! When you finish the course, you'll receive a copy of all the recipes you learned to use at home.
