Did you know that the Swinton Estate is bigger than Manhattan? Read on to discover the different spaces available across our 20,000 acres. Whether you’re looking for a traditional 18th-century Castle-inspired setting, or want to get back to nature with a festival-themed event in our Tipi, read on to discover how we can bring your event to life, combining 18th-century grandeur with the great outdoors and delivered with a 21st-century attention to detail.
The Library
Our largest event space within the Castle, located on the ground floor, boasting floor-to-ceiling Georgian windows, with spectacular views over Swinton’s majestic parkland. The Library has direct access out onto the South Terrace, perfect for refreshment breaks or pre-dinner drinks receptions.
The inspiring ceiling height, with ornate coving and stunning chandelier evoke by-gone eras and create a wonderful setting for banquets and events that aim to impress.
The Panelled Room
An elegant room with large windows and views across the front lawn located on the first floor of the Castle. Boasting an original fireplace, this room can be used for a variety of purposes, whether that is boardroom meetings, private dinners, drinks receptions or even as a breakout room for larger events.
Adam’s Folly
Recently renovated, this beautiful room located on the ground floor of the Castle, and close to the Castle Bar, is best suited as a private dining space able to accommodate up to 20 guests.
Inspired by Adam Mickle junior, the garden architect who created the original Swinton Park gardens this unique space offers a taste of the whimsical where guests will enjoy fine wine and delicious food created by the Samuel’s Restaurant Chef team.
The Arnagill
The Arnagill forms part of The Terrace Restaurant and Bar as a private room ready to accommodate a private dinner party, business meeting or drinks party. The Terrace staff are on hand for all your food and drink requirements.
The Arnagill has audio visual facilities, WiFi connectivity and can accommodate up to 20 guests.
The Deer House
A restored period masterpiece nestled at the heart of the Deer Park overlooking Swinton Park.
The Deer House is a fabulously unique space. Nestled amongst the herd of fallow deer at Swinton Park Hotel, it is a great base for any meeting or event.
Tipi
Boasting spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, the Tipi is a fully furnished venue located at Swinton Bivouac, providing a blank canvas to create your own personal event, stamped with your personal style.
The Tipi is available from April until September.
The Old Gardener’s Office
The Old Gardener’s Office, conveniently located opposite The Terrace Restaurant and Bar, is the perfect, private space to work.
The Old Gardener’s Office can be booked for half days or full days.
The Lake House
The Island and Lake House on Top Lake is a retreat like no other. Where else can you arrive at your private island by hand ferry?
This is the perfect spot for a secluded meeting or private event. You can even enjoy a picnic on warm summer days, then light the island brazier, before retreating to the warmth of the Lake House. The island offers peace and tranquillity – ideal for ‘blue sky’ thinking!
Spa Garden
The Spa Gardens are nestled between the Terrace Restaurant and Bar and the Country Club, with views across the four acre Walled Garden and sitting beneath a fabulous ‘sail’ canopy.
The perfect space for an ‘alfresco’ party or any celebration; or as a unique business meeting setting or for product launch.
Bothy Hut
Nestled within a rock formation high on the moor on the Swinton Estate is a secluded, rustic Bothy Hut. Fire lit and picnic delivered, the Bothy Hut is a completely private place amongst the best of Yorkshire countryside. Or perhaps the beautifully situated Bothy at Grimesgill with plenty of space for outdoor activities.
