Dining events are the Swinton Estate’s speciality – inspired surroundings serving the best of Yorkshire on a plate
Every menu is derived from our Estate to Plate food philosophy utilising the very best ingredients sourced from across the Estate including our four-acre Kitchen garden. For larger events choose the grandeur and heritage of the Library or the rustic setting of the Deer House. More intimate events can take place in the whimsical Adam’s Folly private dining room, enjoy the culinary experience of the Chef’s Table by Josh Barnes or a more casual setting in the Arnagill Room.
Estate To Plate
Our Estate partners provide us with the best local beef, pork, lamb and poultry. Venison from our deer herd is looked after by our own Deer Ranger, and trout is sourced from the trout farm.
Produce we are unable to source from the estate is sourced as locally as possible to reduce food miles and create sustainable businesses in our local area.
The Walled Garden is a working kitchen garden growing substantial quantities of fruits, herbs and vegetables (over 60 varieties) as the seasons dictate. The Walled Garden is a hive of activity at certain times of the growing calendar and you’ll often see our chefs wandering out to collect ingredients for the day.
The Library
A magnificent, opulent space, beautifully lit from wall to wall, with floor-to-ceiling Georgian windows overlooking the Deer Park, the Library is perfect for hosting anything from a private lunch to a sumptuous wedding breakfast.
Adam’s Folly
Exquisite private dining, with splendour and elegance. Hosting up to 20 guests, the Adam’s Folly private dining room is the ideal location for your exclusive private event – with a fine-dining menu specially tailored to you by the expert chefs of Samuel’s Restaurant.
Chef’s Table by Josh Barnes
An unforgettable journey of incredible food and drink by Michelin-trained, award-winning chef Josh Barnes. Enjoy a fresh culinary experience like no other, combining intimate fine-dining with the very best produce grown, reared and foraged on the Swinton Estate, Yorkshire, and the North East.
Available for between 2–12 guests with our dedicated team on hand to guide you through an individually tailored evening – just for you.
The Deer House
A restored period masterpiece nestled at the heart of the Deer Park overlooking Swinton Park Hotel. An idyllic location for hosting a family gathering, a celebratory meal, birthday party, Christening, anniversary, or wedding.
Experience a Swinton BBQ evening complete with blankets, braziers or Deer House pizza evenings in the summer months. The home of the Swinton Estate ‘pop-up’ dining experience.
The Arnagill
A private dining room situated next to The Terrace Restaurant and Bar, ideal for drinks parties, private lunches, and suppers, with sumptuous menus taken from The Terrace Restaurant and Bar.
