The Clay Shooting Ground at E.J. Churchill at the Swinton Estate offers lessons (group and individual), caddied rounds, Claymate (giving the option for experienced shooters to shoot alone) and events.
Founded in 1895, Masham Golf Club is a beautiful nine-hole parkland course, dissected by the River Burn, set half a mile from Swinton Park. A favourite of singer Bing Crosby, the course is made up of sloping greens, elevated areas undulating fairways and picturesque views from every tee.
The Northern Fishing School offers a wide range of fly-fishing activities for guests of all ages and capabilities. The school is run by Marina Gibson and her team of qualified fly-fishing guides and instructors who will be by your side as you pick up a fly rod for the first time or hone your technique ready to net that salmon you’ve been battling against.
Guests enjoying this activity on the Swinton Estate have access to lakes, rivers and reservoirs where you can fish for salmon, trout and grayling.
Our ‘Ready Steady Cook!’ challenge - where you create a dish out of a selection of produce, or MasterChef session - watch a dish being created then re-create it, are super ways to get people together for an exciting ice-breaker for colleagues.
Falconry experiences at the aviary and surrounding parkland at Swinton Estate. Birds of Prey at the Swinton Estate offers educational and fun experiences, available to visitors upon arrangement. We seek to provide as much hands-on interaction with our guests as possible, and to enjoy the personalities and behaviour our large variety of friendly owls, hawks and falcons.
