Situated near the Country Club, The Terrace Restaurant and Bar is at the heart of relaxed eating and drinking on the Swinton Estate.
Fabulous, beautifully furnished alfresco ‘terraced’ gardens, perfect for spring and summer lunches, suppers and drinks with friends, with blankets, heaters and sheepskins galore for chillier days.
From small plates to sharing feasts, The Terrace Restaurant and Bar offers seasonal menus showcasing Estate produce with a fresh and modern twist, using herbs, fruits, and vegetables grown in our four-acre Walled Garden, just a stone’s throw from the kitchens.
The Terrace Restaurant and Bar is a beautiful place to enjoy morning coffee (and a slice of delicious cake!), cocktails, or a pint of local beer at the bar or on the terrace. Alternatively, enjoy a ‘dining at the pass’ foodie experience – sit at the pass, watching your supper being prepared and served to you by the chef.
Dogs are very welcome to join you in the Terrace Bar and outside in the Terrace gardens.

The Terrace Restaurant and Bar features Estate-grown seasonal produce within a welcoming, relaxed dining room. Whether indoors in the restaurant or outside in the Terrace garden (weather permitting!), enjoy our delicious menu of seasonal plates alongside our fabulous selection of cocktails, wine, and drinks in a relaxed, contemporary space.
The Terrace Bar
The Terrace Bar, next to the Terrace Restaurant, is a light and airy space and home to a wide variety of cocktails, wines, local beers, and hot drinks, as well as the scrumptious bar menu.
On warm days, take advantage of the beautiful Terrace gardens to enjoy a cocktail, beer, or bottle of fine wine, bathed in sunshine.

The Terrace Restaurant and Bar is open from 10am every day and offers a wide and delicious selection of teas and coffees to enjoy in the bar area or outside in the Terrace garden.
Devour a generous slice of the Cake of the Day – the perfect companion to a catch-up with friends, sustenance after a bracing walk, or a little ‘me time’.
Dogs are most welcome in the Terrace Bar and Terrace gardens, too!

Estate produce
Closer to the Hotel, The Terrace Restaurant and Bar, the Estate Shop, and Swinton Country Club is the four-acre Walled Garden. This is a working kitchen garden that produces vast quantities of fruit, herbs, and vegetables (over 60 varieties) along with a cutting garden that grows flowers for the Hotel and Estate Shop in the summer months.
This is a hive of activity, and you will often see chefs wandering into the garden to collect ingredients for the day.
