Your journey begins in the grandeur of the Drawing Room at Swinton Park Hotel, with a sumptuous afternoon tea served overlooking the Deer Park. Sip freshly brewed tea or coffee as you delight in a festive selection of sweet and savoury treats – perfect for sharing with loved ones or enjoying amongst new friends.
Let the Christmas decorations get you into the festive spirit and ready to sing along to well-known Christmas carols performed by our resident singer Simon Turner.
As dusk falls, step outside to experience the wonder of Luminescence – A Winter Light Trail. Wander through the grounds of the Swinton Estate, transformed into a glittering landscape of glowing installations and illuminated woodlands.
The afternoon begins at 2pm and concludes with entry to Luminescence – A Winter Light Trail between 4pm and 4.30pm.
Please note, depending on the size of parties booked we may require smaller parties to share a larger table. Separate tea stands will be used.

The Swinton Park Hotel is a luxury Grade II* castle set in beautiful parkland grounds at the centre of the Swinton Estate.
Owned by the Cunliffe-Lister family since the 1880s, and the ancestral seat of the Earl of Swinton, guests at the hotel enjoy a traditional, yet informal stately home experience.

Subject to availability. Tickets are non-refundable but they are transferable. If you are unable to attend this event we can let you move your booking to another festive event taking place at the hotel. Please advise any dietaries prior to arrival otherwise we cannot guarantee to accommodate them. Please note Luminescence is an outdoor trail. If for any reason the trail is closed due to poor weather then the event will still go ahead and you will receive a complimentary ticket to visit the light trail on an alternative date.
