Join us for an afternoon tea, garden talk and a guided tour of the grounds.
Each date is themed on a different topic, whether it be on the parkland and lakes, or the walled garden. We will give an insight into Swinton’s gardening style, and guests will be given a tour up to the parkland to view the dahlias to rhododendrons and more!
Our garden team will explain the choice of produce, with tips for cultivation and harvesting, cooking or preserving.
Arrive at 12.15pm to tea and coffee in Swinton Park Hotel’s Drawing Room, hosted by the 4th Earl of Swinton, Mark Cunliffe-Lister. Afternoon tea will be served at 1pm where the menu utilises produce from the Walled Garden and the wider 20,000 acre Estate.
Mark will lead a talk on the history of the house and gardens followed by a guided walk* around the Walled Garden and Lakes, by our Gardens & Grounds manager Joe Lofthouse, finishing between 4pm and 4.30pm.
*Please note that the guided walk may not be suitable for those who are less fit or have restricted mobility due to the uneven terrain.
