A celebration of Scotland’s most famous poet deserves an evening with a little ceremony of its own. At Swinton Park Hotel, Robert Burns takes centre stage with an evening of fine food, Yorkshire whisky, poetry, music and the time-honoured traditions of a Burns Supper.
Begin with drinks in the Lower Hall before taking your seat in the Ballroom for a four-course dinner, including a traditional haggis course. The menu showcases the finest local produce through our estate-to-plate approach, while the evening unfolds with the speeches, toasts and lively entertainment that give a Burns Supper its distinctive character.
Guests are also invited to become part of the evening, with opportunities to deliver the Selkirk Grace, Immortal Memory, Toast to the Lassies or Reply to the Laddies. If you would like to take part, please let us know when booking.
Yorkshire whisky maker Cooper King will be providing the ‘drams’ for the evening, bringing a taste of Yorkshire to this celebration of Scottish tradition. As the evening draws to a close, Burns’ best-loved songs will lead into a rousing Auld Lang Syne.
For those wishing to make a full occasion of it, stay overnight at Swinton Park Hotel for £595 per room, based on two people sharing, with event tickets included.
