Getting business done

Business and meetings on the Swinton Estate

Meetings, team building, events and tons of blue sky…

As a corporate guest on the Swinton Estate, a myriad of meeting spaces, dining, outdoor and wellness experiences are available to you. We curate bespoke events and ‘away days’ to suit your requirements, offering far more than just a place to meet.

Bring your colleagues for a couple of days of business strategy planning or away from it all ‘blue sky thinking’; reward your hardworking team with unforgettable experiences; or simply get away from the office (or get remote workers together!) to meet in a fabulously creative environment.

The Swinton Estate also has firmly established roots in ESG and sustainability, eagerly providing tours and insight into our progress in these areas to visiting groups – perhaps the perfect opportunity to kick-start your own discussions….?

Meetings

On the Swinton Estate, we understand that business meetings and events take many forms.

We are very happy to facilitate any meeting across any venue on the Swinton Estate – from moorland Bothy, parkland Deer House, contemporary Arnagill Room, Tipi, Spa Garden, private island Lake House; through to more traditional environments of the opulent Library or Panelled Room at Swinton Park – and anywhere in between!

Team building

Enjoy holistic and wellness activities – from forest and sound bathing, meditation, yoga or simply time to relax in the spa; outdoor teambuilding activities, from fly-fishing, clay pigeon shooting, off-road driving or Birds of Prey experiences.

Savour a bespoke Chef’s Table or fun ‘Ready Steady Cook!’ in the Cookery School; host a lunch or supper in Samuel’s fine dining restaurant, or the more ‘laid-back’ Terrace Restaurant, or take the team to a private island for a picnic and some outdoor ‘brainstorming’.

Business retreats

Make your business retreat unique to you, creating an itinerary which mixes business, with wellness and new experiences. Swinton Estate has a myriad of activities, meeting spaces and dining options to motivate the team, bring about some re-found togetherness and have a memorable event.

Your itinerary could include Forest Bathing walks, laser clay competitions, being guest at a Chef’s Table and remote meetings.

Conferences and events

Whatever your company needs to do, make Swinton Estate where you do it… Stunning Yorkshire Dales views, superb location and historical surroundings. 20,000 acres of extensive on-site facilities to create a fantastically bespoke event for your colleagues and customers. Not forgetting great food and, of course, wonderful Yorkshire hospitality!

Private dining

With a flavour of Samuel’s Restaurant. The Chef’s bespoke seasonal menu tailored to suit, matched with a choice of wine, alongside patisserie and eau de vie. Before or afters.

A showcase is available, for up to a hundred and twenty invites, offering a decision between the formality of Samuel’s Restaurant or consideration of The Library.

Parties and celebrations

Let your celebration imagination run riot! Welcome your guests to a stately home experience that is exclusive for you, a semi-alfresco Deer House venue with stunning views or the Tipi perched hillside at Swinton Bivouac overlooking Mashamshire and beyond.

Think dancing under the stars, house parties and chats around the fire with blankets and sheepskins…

Stay on the Swinton Estate

Stay at the opulent Swinton Park Hotel; in one of our ‘on the doorstep’ Estate Cottages, or rustic Tree Lodges at Swinton Bivouac.

Sustainability and ESG

As caretakers of the Swinton Estate, we are driven to achieve ground breaking environmental and socially responsible standards. Our responsibility for the wellbeing of future generations is interwoven in the landscape that surrounds us. Our ambition is that we will deliver, amongst other objectives, an environment that is carbon neutral by 2030, and carbon negative by 2040.

We offer tours of our biomass facilities, tree-planting initiatives (the Estate received NERF funding to plant 10,000 hectares of woodland over the next 20 years) and the Estate’s wider conservation and sustainable schemes.

We’re committed to doing our part to be green

Green is more than a word to us. It’s a commitment to protect the environment so there’s clean air, fresh water, and unspoiled nature for all to enjoy – today and tomorrow.
