From the Morning Room bathed in sunlight, the Drawing Room steeped in heritage and grandeur, our intimate Sitting Room; through to the Billiard, Cinema and Den Room – the public rooms of Swinton Park are beautiful, comfortable and sumptuous.
A beautiful east-facing room, flooded with light during the early part of the day. Perfect for poring over the papers and a morning coffee…
South-facing, with views over the terrace and Home Lake through two expansive Georgian windows. The Sitting Room can be a private room, perfect for small gatherings and celebrations.
A beautiful Georgian room, designed by John Carr of York in 1765. Opulence abounds in the Drawing Room with portraiture and fine antique furniture. The Drawing Room is perfect to enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea.
An ideal retreat for a rainy day or a late evening, with a ‘hunting lodge’ vibe and, as the name suggests, a full size Billiards table. An annexe to this room is also our Cinema Room and Children’s Games Room.
Originally designed to house the Danby family’s artefacts, the bar has also been used as a family chapel.
Offering a wide array of local ales (including Black Sheep and Theakstons), wines, spirits and soft drinks, you can also enjoy our carefully curated Bar Menu, which includes delicious small plates, substantial snacks, sides, afters and large plates if you’re feeling a little more peckish…
Dogs are most welcome into the majority of bedrooms and across many areas of the Swinton Estate.
