Our Public Spaces

  • The Morning Room

An east-facing room, home to reception with our concierge to provide information and organise activity through-out your stay.

  • The Sitting Room

South-facing, with views over the terrace and Home Lake through two expansive Georgian windows. The Sitting Room is a private room for small gatherings and celebrations.

  • The Drawing Room

A beautiful Georgian room, designed by Carr of York in 1765, with large bay windows and grand piano, this is our most popular room for afternoon tea.

  • The Billiards Room

An ideal retreat for a rainy day or a late evening. An annexe to this room is also the children’s play area.

  • The Bar

Designed to house the Danby family’s artefacts, the bar was once a museum and more recently the family chapel.

The bar is home to some of Yorkshire’s finest ales brewed in Masham.
