Places to gather

On the Swinton Estate, we understand that business meetings and events take many forms. From small, ‘blue-sky thinking’ groups and team get-togethers; through to year-end meetings, budget planning, Annual General Meetings, board meetings conferences or team building events.

We are very happy to facilitate any meeting across any venue on the Swinton Estate – from moorland Bothy, parkland Deer House, contemporary Arnagill Room, Tipi, Spa Garden, private island Lake House; through to more traditional environments of the opulent Library or Panelled Room at Swinton Park – and anywhere in between!

The Library

A large and beautiful room, flooded with natural light from the floor-to-ceiling Georgian windows, with spectacular views over Swinton’s majestic parkland.

Perfect for large meetings or those requiring plenty of space to move around. The Library has direct access out onto the South Terrace and can accommodate up to 50 guests.

The Panelled Room

A beautifully elegant room suited to small business meetings, situated in Swinton Park Hotel. The Panelled Room affords stunning views across the front lawn, with a beautifully light and airy feel. The Panelled Room can accommodate up to 24 guests.

The Arnagill

The Arnagill forms part of The Terrace Restaurant and Bar as a private room ready to accommodate a private dinner party, business meeting or drinks party. The Terrace staff are on hand for all your food and drink requirements.

The Arnagill has audio visual facilities, WiFi connectivity and can accommodate up to 20 guests.

The Deer House

A restored period masterpiece nestled at the heart of the Deer Park overlooking Swinton Park.

The Deer House is a fabulously unique space. Nestled amongst the herd of fallow deer at Swinton Park, it is a great base for any meeting or event.

Spa Garden

The Spa Gardens are nestled between the Terrace Restaurant and Bar and the Country Club, with views across the four acre Walled Garden and sitting beneath a fabulous ‘sail’ canopy.

The perfect space for an ‘alfresco’ party or any celebration; or as a unique business meeting setting or for product launch.

The Lake House

The Island and Lake House on Top Lake is a retreat like no other. Where else can you arrive at your private island by hand ferry?

This is the perfect spot for a secluded meeting or private event. You can even enjoy a picnic on warm summer days, then light the island brazier, before retreating to the warmth of the Lake House. The island offers peace and tranquillity – ideal for ‘blue sky’ thinking!

Tipi

Boasting spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, the Tipi is a fully furnished venue located at Swinton Bivouac, providing a blank canvas to create your own personal event, stamped with your personal style.

The Tipi is available from April until September.

Bothy Hut

Nestled within a rock formation high on the moor on the Swinton Estate is a secluded, rustic Bothy Hut. Fire lit and picnic delivered, the Bothy Hut is a completely private place amongst the best of Yorkshire countryside. Or perhaps the beautifully situated Bothy at Grimesgill with plenty of space for outdoor activities.
