We are delighted to announce that Lawrence Yates has been appointed as Estate Executive Chef.
Lawrence has over two decades of experience working in Michelin-starred and five-star venues and his career spans acclaimed roles at establishments such as Midsummer House, The Box Tree, Vineyard at Stockcross and Whatley Manor. He upholds uncompromising standards in the kitchen, with fresh seasonal produce and bold flavours at the heart of each dish.
“I am honoured to join Swinton Estate and look forward to utilising the fresh produce from the 20,000 acre estate to create dishes which honour its rich heritage.” says Lawrence.
Samuel’s Restaurant is steeped in Victorian grandeur where an ornate gold leaf ceiling is complimented by traditional décor and a seasonal a la carte menu of show-stopping British and European classics, alongside a fabulously exciting wine list for a truly delightful, ‘Uniquely Swinton’ dining experience.
The Terrace Restaurant and Bar is at the heart of relaxed eating and drinking on the Swinton Estate. From small plates to sharing feasts, our seasonal menus showcase the Estate’s produce with a fresh and modern twist.
Chef’s Table by Josh Barnes combines intimate fine-dining with the very best produce grown, reared and foraged on the Swinton Estate, Yorkshire and the North East.
Swinton Estate is also becoming increasingly popular for corporate events, weddings and banquets and Lawrence is very much looking forward to creating delicious, seasonally creative menus that are required across the different event locations.
