The estate offers visitors, a unique opportunity to traverse throughout our extensive, beautiful grounds and parkland surrounding the Swinton Hotel, throughout all seasons of the year.
The parkland is divided from the castle by a serpentine stretch of water, Home Lake, designed to give the impression of a river.
The estate supports a herd of approximately 200 fallow deer, including bucks, of which, some of these are very pale in colour – commonly mistaken for albino.
It can take up to two and a half hours to complete all of the walking routes. We ask that the rules of the countryside code are considerately followed at all times.
A tour of the 200 acre parkland, lakes and walled garden can be arranged subject to availability.
