We understand that our guests want to share their experiences on the Swinton Estate with all the family – including the four-legged members!
With miles of walks and trails on the doorstep, Swinton offers the perfect location for a dog friendly stay.
The majority of our bedrooms at Swinton Park are dog friendly, along with some of our public areas and in our cottages. Dogs are also very welcome in Tree Lodges and Yurts at Swinton Bivouac.
In terms of eating out, dogs are most welcome in the Terrace Bar, and outside in the Terrace garden, but not in the restaurant itself. Swinton Bivouac café, is also a dog-friendly watering hole.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas.
All our four-legged guests have a beautifully comfortable bed, a delicious chew, bowls for food and water and some eco-friendly bags for use throughout their stay.

Dogs are welcome in the hotel and the cottages. We have some dog friendly rooms as well as dogs being very welcome in the Billiard Room, Morning Room, Lower Hall and Estate Shop. Low Swinton House has direct access to ‘off-road’ walking trails, complete with dog friendly stiles!
Maps are supplied from the Reception desk with the walks and trails around the grounds and estate, and towels are supplied in the Boot Room for a post walk rub down.
You are welcome to wander through the glorious woodlands, exploring the site with your dog on a lead. Dogs can also join you while you enjoy in to a cup of Yorkshire tea and a slice of home-made cake in the café after a leg stretch!
Please note, we do not allow more than two dogs in a Tree Lodge, Meadow Yurt or the Loft and we kindly ask that they are not left alone in the accommodation at any time.
The 200 acres of heritage listed lakes and gardens, along with the four-acre working kitchen walled garden, are one of Yorkshire's hidden gems. Providing the perfect opportunity for a tranquil stroll with beautiful views to explore.
