Deer Park

Exclusively for hotel residents. Let our team of chefs prepare a picnic for you to enjoy in the peace of the Deer Park, adjacent to Swinton Park. With stunning views, the Deer Park is home to a herd of Fallow deer, and the serpentine stretch of water that forms Home Lake. Lay down the picnic blanket and enjoy the wonderful surroundings.

Play Area

All visitors are invited to enjoy their own refreshments, whether that be a traditional picnic or sumptuous take-out from The Terrace Restaurant or Estate Shop, at the Children's play area within the parkland at Swinton Park. Located near the Spring Garden with a stunning display of seasonal flowers, the park benches and tables allow for a sociable alfresco dining experience within nature.

The Lake House

Lake Island on Top Lake, a short walk from Coffin Pond and Quarry Gill in the Parkland, is a private retreat. Here you can hold an exclusive celebration or private event. Take a hand-drawn cable ferry across to your own private kingdom, complete with a miniature Georgian-style summerhouse. Take a picnic to enjoy for an afternoon in the sun, or our team will set up the island ready for your arrival, whether it be afternoon tea laid out on the table, or a picnic waiting for you in a hamper.

Bothy Hut

The Bothy Hut is a cosy getaway nestled within a rock formation high on the Swinton Estate moorland. With sweeping views down into the valley below, it's the perfect stop-off for a hiking or mountain bike cycling trip.

You can arrange for a picnic to be delivered to the Bothy Hut, where you can sit out and admire the views in the summer or get warm by the fire in winter months.

Available to hire for £150 for the day including transport to and from the Bothy Hut.

Swinton Hamper

Our hamper contains Yorkshire Ham with Walled Garden Chutney, homemade breads, pates and olives, Yorkshire cheeses, fresh scones with clotted cream and local strawberry jam and fruit cake. We also provide you with orange juice and bottled water.

Along with the food provided in our Swinton Hamper, we also offer Smoked Salmon with fresh lemon and a supply of hot soup, and tea and coffee.
