The Swinton Park Hotel is an opulent, Grade II* castle set in 200 acres of stunning gardens and parkland at the heart of the 20,000-acre Swinton Estate.
Owned by the Cunliffe-Lister family since the 1880s, and the ancestral seat of the Earl of Swinton, guests at the hotel enjoy a fabulous, yet informal stately home experience.
There is a sense throughout the Castle of it being more of a lavish country home than a hotel, with individually designed bedrooms, each with generously sized bathrooms and exceptional views.
Swinton Park Hotel is warmed throughout by our eco-friendly biomass boiler, just part of our sustainability drive, we also plant a tree on the Estate for every stay.
From the grandeur and opulence of dinner in Samuel’s Restaurant; a relaxed lunch or supper in the contemporary Terrace Restaurant and Bar; a quintessential Afternoon Tea in the Drawing Room; scrumptious and leisurely breakfasts; a Chef’s Table in the Cookery School; private dining experiences; through to a hearty lunch or piece of cake at Swinton Bivouac Café…
We have a full schedule, and a wide variety of events, to keep the whole family occupied throughout the year. As a guest staying at Swinton Park or Swinton Cottages, you have access to a range of complimentary daily activities to enjoy; from fly-casting, bread making, cocktail making and birds of prey experiences!
The Swinton Estate is the perfect location for family stays and holidays, with 20,000 acres of space and 20,000 (give or take a few…) things to do! Whether that is kicking leaves in autumn, school holiday activity clubs, getting on two wheels to explore, deer park exploration with the Deer Ranger, cinema and ‘den’, cookery school courses, birds of prey experiences, or perhaps clay pigeon shooting or fly-fishing lessons!
A range of self-catering Country Houses and Cottages lie close to Swinton Park Hotel; with Swinton Bivouac, a fabulously off-grid glamping experience on the edge of Swinton’s vast moorland.
