Sue Orrey-Godden, a local artist and wreath-maker, discovered her love for natural wreath decorations while working at Ripon Walled Gardens. She finds it easy and enjoyable to create beautiful and sustainable wreaths using seasonal plants and foliage.
In this half-day session, Sue will teach you how to make a 12–14 inch living wreath decoration that will continue to grow and develop new flowers and foliage, making it a long-lasting decoration. By keeping it moist, the wreath will stay beautiful for weeks, and you can even swap out the plants depending on the season.
You will learn how to create your own living wreath using moss, bedding plants, and foraged elements. All materials and bedding plants will be provided, but feel free to bring along any plants from your garden, twigs, or interesting foliage or grasses to make your wreath more personal. Your living wreath can even double as a table centre on the weekends!
