The Country Club & Spa on the Swinton Estate combines the tranquility of the gardens and surrounding countryside with a bespoke combination of treatment, exercise, diet and relaxation.  Here your wellness is unique to you and your needs, and our core themes of detox, de-stress and recover can be adapted to suit all the symptoms of the stresses and strains of modern living.

The spa facilities include a Wellness Suite for complementary therapies and one to one yoga and pilates sessions. In addition to the lap pool and hot tub, there is an outdoor naturally filtered, oxygenated and chemical free Natural Pool, along with the Thermal Suite with foot spas, sauna & steam rooms and hydrotherapy pool. There is also an outdoor relaxation space with sheepskins, blankets, hot water bottles and hand knitted slippers to ensure peaceful cosiness all year round.

Our recommended wellness massages use the Bamford range of products, which use natural and essential oil blends with both shiatsu and traditional massage techniques. The treatment journey includes a choice of three relaxation rooms, including slumber pods and deep sleep on heated water beds. A reviving herbal tea is then served in the treatment lounge.

Our commitment to your wellbeing extends to the environment that surrounds you and the Swinton Estate woodchip boiler creates all the hot water we need for the indoor lap and hydrotherapy pools and also the outdoor hot tub and natural pool. This source of heat is carbon neutral, using waste timber from the Estate forestry which is a renewable source. Swinton was one of the first hotels in the country to swap from oil to biomass in 2006, and remains a pioneer in this field.

Guests can visit the spa for A Day of Wellness, with accommodation available on the Estate at the Swinton Park castle hotel, One High Swinton cottage or in the yurts and tree lodges at the Swinton Bivouac glamping site. For a more extensive wellness break, the overnight Wellness Retreat combines A Day of Wellness with an overnight stay at Swinton Park and the benefit of additional complementary therapy. Please note that both the Day of Wellness and Wellness Retreat are available mid-week only.

    Yoga Spa Days

    Join us for a Yoga Spa Day. Combine the benefits of yoga with relaxation time in the the luxury of the pools, saunas and steam rooms at Swinton Country Club & Spa. This is followed by a wholesome and nutritious meal in The Terrace Restaurant.

    The 90 minute yoga workshop will follow the theme of yoga to stretch, nourish and relax the body, mind and spirit, delivered by our associate yoga instructor Jane Cluley (Jayadhara). All classes cater for all abilities.

    Forest Bathing

    Join Forest Bathing UK for a woodland session of mindfulness in the 200 acres of lakes and gardens at Swinton Country Club & Spa. A great way to connect with nature and relax.

    Trees naturally give off wood essential oils, and when inhaled, they have a beneficial impact on the nervous system. Resulting in reduced stress levels, a balancing of mood disorders and an improvement to the overall quality of life.

    Through guided activities and exercises, this session will allow you to benefit from being more mindful in a natural environment. Once aware of your surroundings, you will become happier and more rounded as an individual, relationships may be strengthened, goals achieved and hurdles overcome.

    Bivouac Wellness Retreat

    A two night wellness retreat, staying in a hand built, off-grid, wooden tree lodge, in a woodland setting on the edge of the moors at Swinton Bivouac. Unplug and unwind, find space to clear your mind, relax, recuperate and recharge your own energy with sound baths, mindfulness forest walks and Reiki drumming around the campfire.

    Part meditation, part listening exercise. Lay and relax, let the healing musical performances wash over you.
